About this product

The TooQ TQE-2527G is an aluminium external enclosure designed to turn an internal 2.5" SATA hard drive or SSD into a portable unit. It supports SATA I, II and III drives up to 9.5 mm thick and up to 4 TB capacity, so it works with both HDDs and SSDs. The connection is via USB 3.0 / 3.1 Gen 1, with transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps, and it supports the UASP protocol. Power is 5 V DC through the USB port itself, so no external power supply is required. It is Plug & Play, with no driver installation needed, and compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux. It includes an LED indicator for power and read activity, and its aluminium case helps dissipate heat. The box contents include the external enclosure, a connection cable, two screws, a mini screwdriver and a user manual.

What can you use it for?
