The iggual IGG317006 external enclosure turns a 2.5" SATA I/II/III hard drive into a portable unit. Its aluminium housing measures 76 x 127 x 13 mm and weighs 80 g, helping to dissipate heat and protect the drive during transport. It uses a USB-A 3.0 connection, backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1, with a manufacturer-rated transfer speed of up to 5 Gbps. No external power or software is required: connect the drive to the SATA interface, insert it into the enclosure and close it with the two side screws. It supports 4200, 5400 and 7200 RPM drives, FAT32, NTFS, eXT2 and HFS formats, and Windows 2000/XP/VISTA/7/10, macOS 9.X or later, Linux and Ubuntu systems. The stated maximum capacity is 2 TB on 32-bit systems and 3 TB or higher on 64-bit systems.
