About this product

The Ewent EW7056 is an external enclosure for 3.5-inch SATA hard drives. Its screwless design lets you open the case, connect the drive to the SATA connector and close it, with no tools required. Once assembled, it connects to a desktop or laptop using the included USB 3.1 Gen1 (USB 3.0) cable, and the supplied power adapter provides the necessary power for the drive. The USB 3.1 Gen1 (USB 3.0) interface offers data performance of up to 5 Gbit/s and is backward compatible with USB 2.0, so it also works with older ports. It also supports the UASP protocol for faster USB 3.1 performance. The enclosure is made of high-strength ABS, has an on/off button and green (power) and red (activity) LED indicators. Its dimensions are 110 x 31 x 187 mm and it weighs 160 g. It is a practical solution for reusing a 3.5" drive as external storage and sharing videos, images and files.
